To Our Friends Everywhere
Grace, peace and Merry Christmas to you all!
Its Christmas time. Can you believe its that time again? Another year has come and gone. The kingdom of God grows brighter and the attacks against it more shrill. Yet the church Jesus is building marches on. What a joy to be part of his enterprise in the earth today.
Christmas at our house will be kids/friends coming and going. Three of our four plus our daughter in law will be headed to Europe three days after Christmas. Paul Daniel will be home from Oral Roberts University this weekend. Our children are joining other family members in Ireland. Sounds like cold fun to me. Gloria and I will be home for the holidays, warm and quiet.
Just a short report on our recent trip to North Africa which ended Tuesday. The purpose of the trip was to distribute IPODS that contain a full Bible School program in Arabic and French. My team hand carried 16 and four more will arrive on Tuesday for a total of 20.
The reports coming from those using the IPODS was worth the entire trip. One brother exclaimed, "this is all we have". A young lady mentioned listening morning and night and growing every week from the truth she was learning. Others have small groups in homes and listen and discuss the lessons. And there are many more. I can tell you with first hand surety, this effort is worth while and we need to do more.
Why do more? We visited one city of 3 million population. Believers are less than 100.
Souls are won on a one-to-one basis and very slowly. In the North African countries we visited, some workers(missionaries) have been kicked out in the last month and cannot return. One family had lived in-country for more than 20 years and was given just one hour to collect their things and were driven to the airport. That is the real situation the church of Jesus lives under at the moment. But harvest is immanent and coming soon.
So my dear friends, your investment in IPODS is already multiplying in many places that I must, for safety sake, leave unnamed in this email. From out colleagues overseas that work in these tough places, a mighty deep thanks.

December 2009
It' nearly 2010. Can you believe it? Am not sure if time can accelerate but it sure seems so.
We must work while it is day. Steadily, firmly, faithfully and powerfully.
I know I wrote just a few days ago. But this afternoon I had reason to go over that email letter. Guess what I forgot to do? I forgot to properly thank all of you...even though I did express appreciation.
Have often thought about the ten lepers who were touched by Jesus. Only one returned to says thanks to Jesus for changing an irrevocable debilitating disease on their behalf. It is really stunning how ungrateful human kind can be and I do not want to be counted among them.
Two emails ago we informed you of our needs for both North African ministry this week and Vietnam in January. God be praised and our friends be thanked. All the funds for North Africa are in to complete the project there. At the same time, the need for Vietnam stands at $3000 today and we need to send those monies to Vietnam in late December to pay for food and a meeting venue. Please pray and give into that. Slowly the curtain of oppression is lifting but there is much work to do.
Secondly, thank you for continuing to support the IPOD project. This past week, another church committed to purchasing two more IPODS...and several individuals have as well.
We need many more to complete all the requests we have at the moment. When we are finished with this phase, more than 20 nations will be equipped. Again, God be praised.

Early December, 2009
Grace to our friends everywhere! Lots of good news... IPODS We have more than 70 bought and paid for and most of them are already working in a strategically important places in North Africa/Mid East. As you know, this equipment cannot be sent via mail or delivery services. So our delivery is a little slow but working. At the moment there are 11 units enroute to various destinations in Africa. God willing I leave Sunday with more to be delivered. In other emails I will share some testimonies of great things that have happened via the ISOM curriculum that is on the IPODS. We will need another 70-100 units to fill out the requests we have at the moment. Please keep this project in your prayers. Passy, Senegal
For several years we have partnered with an African mission called CAPRO. The ir workers in Senegal are some of the best men and women anywhere and work hard at expanding the kingdom of God. The Capro mission has owned about 11 acres of land in the southern part of the country for some years. The long term goal is to develop a training center there. The first large capital expense is the need for a fence and that fence is nearly 1200 feet long and has to be nearly nine feet tall. The costs will be about $50,000. For three years or more I have prayed for some way to finance that fence and get the whole project started. In the last month, a very generous pastor and church has committed to paying for putting up the fence. Work should begin next month and be done before Easter. God be praised.
In my office is a large notebook which is a working manual and loads of data about the Passy project. In due season there will be an agricultural development there, mango and lemon trees, chicken production, row crops, a church and Bible training center. GOD BE PRAISED. Eight tribes live in the area and leadership will be trained in Passy to reach them all.Any churches interested in sending a building team in 2010 please contact me. There is lots to do in Passy. Ministry matters.. As I said above, I am headed to North Africa on Sunday. Most of my team is already in Africa working on various projects and will meet me Monday. This is a strategic trip. I can feel it in my bones and spirit and I look for some very substantial connections to come from it. Prayer is requested. God willing in late January we will visit our friends in Vietnam again and in March back to the Middle East. Meanwhile I am going to rest the last half of December and some of January. Resting does not mean no focus. In large part it means waiting on God. The Holy Spirit has been moving everywhere. We have been preaching on the power of the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, deliverance and breakthroughs. And, God be praised, all that has been happening. More than anything I need to hear from God. One more matter, in my last email, I mentioned being open for some "revival" type services in the summer of 2010. A few folks responded that they would like the touch of God but just could not go back to "pentecostal" expressions. May I clarify? I am not suggesting emotion excesses, unnecessarily noisy meetings, any kind of religious hype, or working up a crowd. I am searching and seeking for genuine, Holy Spirit permeated meetings where people have life altering breakthroughs. Breakthroughs that deep rarely happen in Sunday morning meetings. I have one opening remaining in the summer of 2010. Bless you all. You are such a joy and support to Gloria and I that words fail to properly express it. We do love and appreciate you all very much....and more than anything we often wish you could see what we see on the fields of the world. Hello Everyone! Grace to you all!
Today was a very good day. Gloria and I were blessed to attend another great conference in our local church and to be both strengthened and blessed by what we heard and felt.
For sure, our local church is a place to grow and has been like that for years. I do hope all of you who preach and teach, create an environment which is life giving versus behaviorally focused, is Jesus centered versus issue bound, is Bible based versus enforcing some historical church code, and is passionately evangelistic versus service centered. A life giving church is an attractive place for sure.
And, in the midst of the conference, I met an Egyptian brother who was known to our church leadership. I had been praying about how to ship Arabic IPODS to Egypt and God put a courier right in my church. On Friday this week, four more IPODS will be on the way to Egypt and will be in place functioning next week. God be praised!
Other matters....
I have been genuinely blessed in recent days by the renewed hunger I see for the power of the Holy Spirit and evangelism. Last week I visited a conference in Texas. It was my first time to be among those folks although some close friends are part of that fellowship. The worship and power of the Spirit were mightily manifest in every service. To repeat, there was hunger, intense hunger among that tribe. A hunger to please God and reach the nations. I can relate. If you, at the moment, can feel no hunger at all start with a prayer to God to CREATE hunger in you. He will!
IPODS
More of you continue to send along gifts for IPODS. We do appreciate it and, just like today, we could make another contribution since we were ready with units bought and paid for. Keep on...another hundred units or so is what I have envisioned for the Arabic speaking world.
HELP NEEDED
For 25 years I have simple let you know what we needed and when we needed it. Here goes. There are two overseas training events on our calendar. One is in early December and the other at the end of January. They are North Africa and Vietnam respectively.
For North Africa our needs today stand at $2000 and for Vietnam $3000. Not a lot really but that is the real need(not a hoped for budget) Tickets are bought and paid for. Monies are needed to house and feed those who will be with us in both countries.

Late October, 2009 Grace to our friends everywhere! Gloria and I have been "road warriors" the last two months and half. Nearly 40,000 air miles which took us from LA to Australia then to New Zealand, a brief stint at home and then on to Greece, home for one day and then on to Florida and finally home last Sunday nite late. Wow, this week has been a time of rest and recuperation and we have needed it.
Why go to so many places? The answer is simple. We have almost stopped praying for revival and have decided to enjoy it. Revival is in the earth now. There is a price to pay but much to gain. Any church or fellowship that is hungry can have Acts level outpourings now. Revival is always easy to handle when it’s buried in history or longed for in the future. Both poles are safe. But when you choose to radically obey there arises a long list of deep personal dealings. If the list is followed and the issues confronted, what follows is wonderful beyond words. God wonderfully helps us with His list, and then sends glory when our hearts are right before Him. What a great God we serve! In all the places where we have been recently, there have been touches from heaven in many different fashions. We have spoken to hundreds of leaders and thousands of people and uniformly we have sensed fresh hunger for God and a willingness to press in. It was a great joy to see the Holy Spirit touch a room full of leaders in I know I repeat some things but here goes...my dear pastor/leader friend, may I encourage you to make room for the presence of God and the power of the Holy Spirit to work? You do not need to be afraid. You do not need to become a religious nut bag. You do not need to surrender order to renewal groupies. You need to learn to pastor a flow from heaven that will work the wondrous amidst those you minister too. I pray that for you. Amen! Matters before us... IPODS and their distribution will occupy the later part of this fall. We have 44 in the field working or on the way and about 20 more bought and paid for. As you know, these units cannot be sent via mail. So we are sending them with families, friends and colleagues and they travel back and forth. Last week I received a note from a missionary that in his area alone 30 units could be used asap. LSI has a ministry trip planned to God’s people have been so generous towards this project I can hardly believe it or contain the joy. $400. buys an electronic Bible school. Can you imagine the good the training does among new believers in Jesus? Virtually all the units we are sending are going into Islamic places. My deep thanks to everyone who has been a part of this and the end is not yet. Each unit contains a full loaded Bible school plus a connector kit to link it to a pc, tv, laptop, docking station, independent speakers or earbuds. Each unit costs $400. USD. The Islamic world has opened to us for leadership training in ways I hardly dreamed possible. It is, for us, the largest window of opportunity in more than 2o yrs and in one of the most strategic parts of the world. Thousands are coming to Christ monthly now. So leadership training is critically needed to capture the gains for Christ Jesus. We need your unprecedented, generous support like never before and continue to trust you will pray and listen to the Holy Spirit concerning giving. We ask nothing more. To Our Friends Everywhere....Grace, Peace, and Love!
Nearly everywhere we have been in recent travels, we have addressed, in a fresh way, the issue of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and intricately connected to that experience, the matter of speaking in tongues. There are vast positive implications for our lives today vested in the baptism of the Spirit with tongues following. For the most part, there has been a wonderful fresh breeze of the Holy Presence blowing in those services.
If you are a primary church leader reading this note, you have my strongest encouragement to press into God afresh, be refreshed in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and learn speaking in tongues as a life giving discipline....that is, something to be practiced in and out of church on a daily basis. Someone asked me recently if I wasn't afraid some extremism might be seen as a result of emphasizing tongues. My response was, "In our circles?" Are you kidding? The smell of death is far more prominent than the sound of gushing rivers of life promised by Jesus. People want and need life. The longer I am in ministry the clearer I become in understanding my personal finiteness.
Conversely, the clearer I am spiritually and intellectually that Jesus and the power He sends is the only force that can immediately and finally change a life. Lord, send your power! Amen.
Ministry matters...
I leave Wednesday this week for Australia/ New Zealand. for a series of church meetings in three places and several leadership events After returning home for six days, Gloria and I head to Greece for two regional leadership events. (Greece is Christian in name only. There are only a small number of born again persons out of a population of 11 million).Later in the fall we will travel to North Africa again distributing IPODS and preaching. January takes us to Vietnam for a leadership training event.
IPODS
What a great tool these little devices are and what a wonderful response from you to get them in the field working. I believe as of the morning, we have 35 working in 9 countries. We are about the expand this exponentially. We have about 25 more IPODS purchased and ready to go overseas. Some we send with individuals and others we will take with us when we make another trip after Thanksgiving. Pray protection on those who carry these tools where they need to go.
When we began partnering with ISOM and IPODS, I thought we would be in this 8-12 months and in 3-4 countries. God had other ideas. At the moment, the entire Mid-East and North/West Africa is open to us and more importantly, is in need of IPODS and the training contained on them. The opportunities before us at the moment are some of the largest and most important of our entire ministry. IPODS are being placed in the hands of those who will be church planters and evangelists. We are focused on the Arabic speaking, Islamic world. In that world, the church of Jesus is growing exponentially and new and more leaders are desperately needed. Every IPOD is an electronic Bible School. Again, the cost for each unit is $400 and includes an 120 gig IPOD and a connector kit.
Your prayers and support and always needed and always appreciated.

To Our Friends Everywhere:
Grace and peace to you all!
Have been preaching some lately on the in-filling of the Holy Spirit and the necessity of speaking in tongues. The results have been wonderful. One of the major keys to becoming strong in the spirit filled life is to practice speaking in tongues. One should be reminded that there are clearly defined benefits to tongues speaking. Isaiah 28:11-12 tells us that two of them are "refreshing and rest(ease)." Is there not a benefit to living life in ease and rest versus turmoil and inward upset? God's ideas and practices bring benefits all around.
For sure, no one in ministry wants foolishness or extremes. But fear of them have largely frozen many pastors into either de facto resistance to the moving of the Holy Spirit or neglecting it to the point no one asks anymore or ridicule of those who still contend for a place in His presence where power is displayed and His greatness promoted. One other often observed option is the herding of all tongues speaking into a small off-to-the-side-and not-to-be-seen room. It can't be called leadership when that is done. It is done by control freaks so they can be sure nothing unexplainable(supernatural) happens. What, pray tell, are we afraid of? The Holy Spirit? When He moves there must be pastoral leadership or excesses can happen. If need be, I would far rather work with a few of those that have all life controlled so tightly God Himself can't find an entry point into any given service.
I plead with my peers in ministry. Open your altars again. Make time to soak in God's presence. Encourage your parishioners to get filled with the Holy Spirit and practice tongues speaking. Keep at least some services open ended so protracted times can be spent in the presence of God. One day your church will have a breakthrough and perhaps even a revival. Amen.
Ministry matters...
LSI continues to raise funds for IPODS. We are building up a supply of 30 more units in Arabic and French for distribution into West and North Africa. Each unit is $400. Keep praying with us for good success in getting the units we need and also for their safe distribution. This matter needs prayer. Over the last few weeks in just one Islamic nation, twenty four church leaders have been arrested, beaten, imprisoned for a week and allowed to become refuges in another country. The battle for souls continues and as long as God gives us grace we will not quit.
Ministry trips ahead...Australia/New Zealand(Sept), Greece(mid October), Northern Africa(December).
Support matters...
Our annual reminder is this, August and December are challenging months operations wise. Yet all the needs of the ministry continues across the world. Frankly my friends, we have never, in our more than 25 year history, have had more opportunities strategical placed than now. In the last three weeks, three entire nations have opened to us for training and to provide equipment. Your faithfulness in the above months will be a great blessing.
Thank you again for all you do year after year to move the kingdom Jesus is building forward.

Late June, 2009
To our friends and partners everywhere, Grace, peace and the power of the Holy Spirit be upon you all! As you have often read in my letters and heard me say in our meetings, God is continuously at work in His church. We who lead need discernment to understand what He is doing and what He wants to do. Safe to say, the church as it is currently, will not bring in the end time harvest the Bible promises. It is just too weak, too polluted, too full of agendas that have little to do with kingdom life. Yet, it is all God has to work with. And working with His church is one of His high and central ambitions. "Christ loved the church" says Paul. Jesus will not abandon His church period. So, we can expect heavens' attention. The question then becomes, in what way will He work in the church? The straight answer is "judgement will begin at the house of God." None of us want that and yet it seems nothing will "course correct" the church except the pressure that comes in an environment of judgement. If the above premise is true, how should we be acting now? With deep repentance and persistent regular prayer. We should be making restitution where needed and conciliations to everyone and anyone. We should again value the moving of the Holy Spirit among us in power and repent of the quick critiques made of some of our brothers who have decided to press into God in the hope that Pentecost has a current application in the life of the church. May God deliver us from self promotion, personal agendas, pride motivated building projects, title seeking and affiliations that are not life giving. May God deliver the charismatic movement from seeker softness to fiery, passionate, convicting services that produce encounters with God and not just emotional boosts from slick planning of religious niceties. So dear reader, is there hope? There certainly is. If we call on Him, He has promised to answer. As for me and my house, we are standing firmly on that promise. That He will, one day, answer our request for a fresh outpouring on His church leading us to a full gathering of the end time harvest and then, His wonderful return. Whatever the price, that day will be with the wait. Amen. Ministry matters.. IPODS We continue to raise funds for IPODS and to pay for the costs off delivering them. They cannot be sent through the mails or normal deliver systems. Each one must be hand delivered. I have asked all the churches where we minister this year to buy just one. Some of the larger churches have done far more. We thank all of you. Just a reminder....The IPODS we are buying and placing are all going into Islamic nations. 25 are in place now and the reports we receive are absolutely wonderful. Each IPOD has 160 hours of Bible training. Currently we have them available in Arabic and French. These languages alone will cover 20 nations in Africa and some others in the middle east. Thousands of muslims are turning to Christ monthly. These salvations create a huge need to train and develop hundreds of new house church leaders and to do it now...to sustain the harvest. I have requests now for another 65 IPODS. Each unit, with a connector kit(to attach to laptops, tvs, or pcs) costs $400. USD. If you are willing to support this project, our mailing address is at the end of this email. Just mark your check IPOD and all the funds will go to this project. SEMINARS LSI did not sponsor a Vietnam seminar planned for August. Why not? I could not get a team together for the summer of 2009. So that one has been postponed till 2010. Other events we are dealing with now are from nations like Guinea, Tanzania, Mali. SUPPORT Someone asked me recently if the economy has affected LSI. Yes it has. So keep us in your thoughts and prayers. If I have to choose between intercessors and money, I'll take the former. But it takes both to operate a world wide ministry. PERSONAL MATTERS The doctors have released me completely to travel, work and preach. I feel strong and renewed in every way. Thank you again for praying for me during my recent surgery time and recovery. God is good. FOR CHURCHES IN NORTH AMERICA I continue to work with churches and their leadership. If we can be of help please contact us through this email address. Plus since the first of the year, I have been re-emphasizing the power of the Holy Spirit and dozens of people have been filled, refilled and refreshed. If your church needs a fresh touch of the Holy Spirit this is the time. Contact our office at the numbers below for appointments. We have a precious few Sundays open in 2009 and more after the first quarter of 2010. FINALLY...bless you all in Jesus name. I honor and bless all God's servants across the world. Gloria and I have many take-aways from our travels. One of the biggest is being with you all. We love, esteem, and appreciate you. Hello to all our friends and partners across the world.
I really do not like to use emails to communicate personal stuff. But this time it is necessary. As you know, God is doing so many good things around the world and some of it through LSI and that is what brings me joy to report and talk about.
However, the last two weeks have been challenging physically for me and here is the short story about it. Annually I have a routine check up and heart test. The first heart test was a treadmill and my cardiologist saw something he did not like and convinced me I should have a nuclear stress test. That test as well showed some problems with my heart and he further pressed me to have an angiogram (a threaded wire inserted into an artery and then dye released to show blockages). That test showed the need for immediate heart surgery on my front left artery(which carries about 30% of the blood to the heart). It was more than 80% blocked. That artery is sometimes called "the widow maker" because often it does send the usual signals of pressure or shortness of breath as the other arteries do. And, God be praised, I did not have a heart attack.
Surgery took place last Friday afternoon at 3 pm. I was released from the hospital Monday morning at 10:30 am. Think there might have been some heavenly intervention in this? The surgeons used a robotic device for part of the surgery which also lessened the trauma effect on my body.
So my dear ones, that is the report. I am home with Gloria and my daughter Regan from Houston has been home helping all week as well. They are wonderful caregivers. The doctors say I can resume a full work load within two-three weeks with no restriction on travel here or abroad. But, under the circumstances, I am not going to work until May 1 and till then just plan to exercise a bit more every day and rest and stay quiet(not easy for me).
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We are on the way up and out. The good hand of God has guided us through once again.
Love and blessings

Grace and greetings to our friends around the world!
Since the first meeting of the year in January, I have noticed a fresh stream of anointing in almost every service. The unsettled conditions in the world have created a new search after God in the church.
While that manifest hunger may be long overdue, thank God it is there and people are looking to the Lord for help. It is just my opinion, but I look for more chaos in the world and more glory in the church at the same time. Be ready for both. Amen.
Here's an update from our recent journey to Africa. Village elders whom we met with most of a day concerning a future agricultural project in the area.. They granted permission and gave 160 acres of land. What will follow will be agricultural help, more wells, new crops, a school and an infirmary. This village is muslim and eventually there will be a church there and the above are the means to bring Jesus into that area. Your truely had did some teaching and being translated by Dave Arzouni. We had some wonderful prayer time in Bamako, Mali. Abe de fin(who came from South Africa to help)Â and Dave Arzouni were able to spend time outlining the future farm project.
It does take a combination of things to touch so called "closed" places. This last trip was again one of those "combo" missions where we held large training events, looked after present and future projects and arranged for the distribution of Arabic language IPODS.
As for the IPODS...they have been a huge hit. Please see the attached email for just one report about their use and effect. We have requests now for dozens more. As you know, each IPOD contains a two year Bible training program. In the email they are called "tool".
At the moment, we have a courier who will take IPODS to Yemen. As you know, Yemen is a very radical Islamic place and is closed to all traditional means of expressing the gospel. Yet there is a working, vibrant remnant in that land and it is expanding. We want to help. Loaded IPODS with connector kits are $400. (The real cost is nearly double that when you factor in delivery costs). I need two of them immediately in Arabic which will be hand carried. Is there a church or individual who will meet this request NOW? Please contact me immediately if you are willing to help. I bless you for whatever you do.
Finally, I hope to see you around the country. Check out calendar or send me an email and we will send the meeting locations to you.

Hello everyone and God bless!
Gaza is aflame and, as of today, there is no end in sight. Israel has pledged to keep fighting in Gaza until the rockets stop flying onto their turf and homes. It could be awhile. Meanwhile, the people suffer...terribly. War is as close to hell as anyone can get. Think of the elderly, children, the sick.
Our partner organization, Global Operations/Giving Children Hope has medical assistance available now and the means to ship it to Gaza. The goods need to be given to an established organization that can, sooner or later, get the goods where they can be distributed to the people. At the moment we need help locating that person or organization. We stand ready. We just need a trusted hand in the area of need.
If you can help us locate a trusted person or organization, we will contact them immediately. See below:
