 Welcome to Leadership Strategies, a cluster ministry designed to equip the whole estate of man. We have found that just helping people socially with food or medicine is not enough by itself. The same is also true with teaching and preaching. All are needed, both the spiritual and physical, to successfully minister life to poor and needy people who live in poverty conditions.To send help from its source to the point of need requires leaders and resources. Everything in church work at every level depends on leadership. Not some things. Everything! The heart of LSI's ministry is to raise up leaders. We train church leaders with books, seminars, tapes, videos, and scholarships to training centers.
LSI partners with a ministry called BusAid to train people in micro-business projects. I.e. sewing, simple farming, auto repair. For humanitarian projects, Global Operations and Development/Giving Children Hope has been our partner for more than eight years. Dale Van Steenis, LSI director is also a director of Global Operations.
This multi-pronged approach has changed the lives of thousands of people, has resulted in dozens of new churches, has raised the efficiency of hundreds of church leaders, and continues to supply humanitarian aid to thousands of people on an annual basis.
The earthly engine that makes LSI work is partnerships and networks. We have them in many parts of the world. Some examples are: Micro Development Projects: BusAid of Australia
Humanitarian Projects: Global Operations and Development/ Giving Children Hope has been our exclusive partner for a number of years Dale Van Steenis is a director of Global Operations Translation and Distribution in Central Asia Bridge Ministries. In-Country Relationships: In every country where we work, we base the ministry exclusively on local leadership. We have worked hard to develop long term relationships based on trust
and love. Partnering for specific ministries in specific countries means LSI does not have to develop all sorts of expensive infrastructures. I.e. offices, mission house, vehicles etc. We work exclusively with locals and for the day when we do not have to be present. LSI is a Barnabas ministry-one that comes along side to help. Furthermore, it is financially responsible. In one country the cost of a full time trained pastor is about $100 USD per month. An American in the same country requires $5,500
